DR. NICHOLAS HEPBURN
General Surgeon
Dr. Nicholas Hepburn was born April 22nd, 1948 in Long Island, Bahamas to the parents of Moses and Faith Hepburn.
He received his early education at Southern Senior High School and The Government High School from 1958- 1967.
Dr. Hepburn attended Medical School at the University of the West Indies, Mona, Jamaica, sponsored by Esso Standard Oil Company, where he received a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MB. BS) in 1973.
He did his surgical Residency at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario Canada in 1976-1985, Fellowship at The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCS).
His work experience include: Internship at the Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) 1973-1974, Senior House Officer in Surgery PMH 1974-1975, Consultant, General Surgeon- PMH 1985- 2013. He is currently practicing at Bahamas Surgical Associates Center.
His awards include: Ministry of Health, National Heroes Award (2006).
He is a member of the National Insurance Board (2002-2006) and Registrar, Bahamas Medical Council (2008-2011).
